Who We Are
Established in 1998, Simon CNC Services was formed by Directors Simon Newton & Simon Finch to offer an all round service care for your CNC machine tools.
Following many successful years working for the machine tool company Traub UK Limited and with over 50 years experience working in the NC / CNC machine tool industry, Simon CNC Services have a team of engineers specialising on the complete Maier, Spinner and Traub CNC product ranges.
Our Aim in 1998 and to this date is to offer a first class after sales service to the existing user’s of Traub CNC Machine tools. Over the years to date we have established an extensive customer base throughout the UK where we look after the service requirements of over 180 Traub CNC machines at over 80 companies.
Our service staff has increased to eight enabling us to additionally move in to the second hand market for Traub machines where our experience allows us to fully recondition machines and unlike most machine tool dealers we are in a position to offer the reconditioned machines with a full after sales service, supported by parts & labour warranties.
Our service skills were noted by the German CNC machine tool company Spinner of Munich and in 2001 we were appointed the UK service agents for the complete range of Spinner CNC turning and Milling machines.
In early 2002 we relocated to our new 350m2 purpose built showroom & demonstration facility, centrally situated in Chesterfield, Derbyshire with more facilities and dedicated areas for machine rebuilding, demonstrations and customer training.
In 2005 we progressed to the sale of NEW CNC machinery and were appointed sole UK distributors for the Maier range of CNC sliding headstock machines and also the Spinner range of CNC classic line turning and milling machines.
Today our machine tool sales are split approximately 50/50 between New and Used models with growth seen coming evenly from both sides. However, we have certainly NOT lost site of our aim to continue to offer a First Class After Sales Service to our customer’s on all our product range.
